Situations of vulnerability related to inappropriate treatment: Mistreatment of the elderly

Currently, the focus of various human and social sciences directed towards the elderly population is on improving their quality of life. This collective is becoming increasingly more numerous and present in distinct social settings. Unfortunately, one of the significant issues deteriorating the life conditions of the elderly is the abuse they receive from others. This article aims to enhance the comprehension, aetiology, risk factors, and identification of mistreatment towards the elderly.
