Pulso. Revista de educación develops various procedures aimed at ensuring the permanent accessibility to the contents hosted in its servers:

• Backup copies
• Monitoring the technological aspects to prevent potential conversions of format or obsolete software.
• Digital preservation metadata.
• Using Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
• Using as an editorial manager software Open Journal Systems (OJS)) in its 3.3.0.6 version, an open source software with the interoperability protocol OAI-PHM ( Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting).
• Use of LOCKSS and CLOCKSS system to create an archive system distributed amongst cooperating libraries, which are allowed to create permanent archives for the journal for restoring and conservation purposes.

In addition, the journal stores its metadata in different national and international repositories to guarantee the long-term digital preservation of its articles, such as Dialnet, eBUAH (institutional archive of Universidad de Alcalá) or DOAJ (Directory of open access Journals) and REDIB (Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico).
