This article draws on the author’s own teaching experience as a university professor of future educators, conceiving daily classroom praxis and academic coexistence as a space for constant reflective learning. From this perspective emerges the present article, whose aim is to offer a theoretical reflection on the complexities of exploring the aesthetic dimension of education within the university classroom at a time when sensory alienation and the capture of attention modes predominate. In the first section, some characteristics of today’s anesthetized society are outlined. This is followed by a reflection on the institutional dynamics of the university that condition the ways in which students and faculty are present within the educational relationship. Finally, in a propositional spirit, the article suggests methodologies in which human presence regains central importance—such as Rewriting Between Bodies, Autoethnographic Narrative Research, and Arts-Based Educational Research. These approaches contribute to rethinking university education in terms of rootedness; that is, an education in which the life histories of the individuals involved and the territories they inhabit are taken into account, thereby considering the interrelations among the aesthetic, ethical, and political dimensions of education
